Oliver !

This is a joint production with New World Theatre Club and is scheduled to take place from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th April 2016 at the centre culturel “Kinneksbond” in Mamer and will be directed by Neil Johnson.

Auditions for the roles of Oliver Twist, The Artful Dodger, members of Fagin’s gang & other roles are open to boys & girls between the ages of 8 and 18 at time of performance and who have a good command of the English language. Auditions will take place on Saturday, 20th June between 14:00 and 17:00 and the following Saturday, 27th June at the same times at the “Restaurant Odeon”, 1st floor at 10, rue Munchen-Tesch, L-2173 Luxembourg (see map below).

Those who wish to participate need only attend one date. Everyone should be prepared to sing a short song of their choice, act some lines from the script and follow some simple dance steps with the choreographer. We also request that parents/guardians attend a short (10-15 minute) presentation about the show which will start promptly at 14:00. This will include a Q&A section. Attendees should bring something to drink and wear non-slippy shoes! It is anticipated that rehearsals will start mid-September 2015.

Please click here to fill in an audition form.

Please also note that as the production will take place just after the Easter holidays in 2016, all cast members will be expected to attend rehearsals during the Easter school break. However, there will be no rehearsals during the Easter weekend itself ie. Friday 25th (Good Friday) to Monday 28th (Easter Monday.) All other bank holidays will be respected. Also, applicants planning to attend the NWTC Youth Group for the 2015-2016 season are kindly requested to note that Oliver! rehearsals are likely to clash with youth group rehearsals, making attendance of both difficult, if not impossible. However, do come along for the audition, regardless of your intentions.

Auditions for the adult roles will take place in September but you can already sign up for your preferred date by clicking here.
